Tony’s Story

After leaving the RAF as an “Ace” Pilot, in 1950, Tony with his wife Rena Corbett, his son Terry and daughter Yvonne, emigrated from Scotland to Toronto, Canada, to pursue a career with AVRO as a designer in the Aircraft industry most notably the AVRO Arrow Project. Tony spent all his spare time in the basement(s) of the numerous places he lived, painting, experimenting and studying art. When the family moved to Halifax, Tony’s talent blossomed. He was very prolific in generating wonderful art pieces. Many of which were sold to friends and supporters.

The “Cliff”, (inspired by looking down from an ocean weathered cliff) was owned for over 50 years by a dear family friend and collector, who bequeathed it and several other pieces to Tony’s son Rod Collins, who has become a popular artist in his own right.
